THE CHALLENGES OF THE PLANETSOLAR PROJECT

A world tour

This first world tour with solar energy could be a memorable event, may be even a turning point of our society. With this challenge, we wish to demonstrate that it is possible, with the help of the technology, thanks to our knowledge, to go from the oil era, to that of the sun and of the phenomenal energy that it sends to us every hour, every day, since billions of years and for a long time to come. The society will live a revolution based on the exclusive use of age-old resources; we must evolve towards a society exploiting the renewable energy sources. It is the only way to become responsible and durable.

A solar boat

The boat is the means of transport which has allowed the first great explorations of our world, the first great crossings and the first tours of the world. The first boat dates back to the Neolithic, more than 10,000 years ago.

Today, the boat is the most used means of transport of goods. It represents single-handedly almost 1,4 billions of tons of carbon dioxide (in 2008), that is 6% of the total carbon dioxide emissions and twice more than the air transport.

Solar boats exist since many years. This means of transport is in particular suitable for the use of solar energy since it is possible to put in large surfaces of solar panels.

A participative project

With PlanetSolar, we will be close to the people. We will go into the heart of the cities. Thanks to our Vllage, we will be able to share our vision of the world. We will be able to make the experience of a clean and silent navigation live, with the sun.
